RACHELLE ann go life

Rachelle Ann Go (born August 31, 1986) is a Filipina singer. She rose to prominence after winning the second season of the reality show Star For A Night renamed as Search For A Star, hosted by recording artist Regine Velasquez. She has since gone to have established a very successful recording career.Early life and careerRachelle was born in Manila, Philippines and is of Chinese-Filipino descent. Fondly called Shin or Shin-Shin by her friends, Rachelle's interest in singing started at a very young age. Her father predicted even before she turned a year old that she was destined to be a Star. When she turned seventeen, she underwent vocal training and lessons and, by the time she was nineteen, she participated in her very first amateur singing competition and won the first prize, belting out Jennifer Holliday's "And I Am Telling You," in spite of being the youngest contender. She became a veteran of singing competitions and has consistently won several contests. Her television debut on "Eat Bulaga!," a hit noon-time variety show, happened when she was just eleven. She competed in the show's contest "Birit Baby" where young aspirants belt out vocally challenging songs. She ended up receiving the runner-up award but was highly praised for her take on a Céline Dion classic, "All By Myself".In 2003, along with a thousand hopefuls, Rachelle auditioned for the second season of the Philippines' leading talent search, Search for a Star. Rachelle breezed through the preliminary rounds and found herself among the top twelve contenders vying for the coveted recording prize during the finale. On March 13, 2004 Rachelle was announced as the second grand champion, following Sarah Geronimo, singing her rendition of Mariah Carey's "Through the Rain".Several weeks from winning, she collaborated with Philippine rap group Salbakuta for a cover of the Laura Branigan 1980s hit Gloria; she then released it as a CD single and became an instant hit. Rachelle performed the song with the group in the Malacanang Palace, alluding President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.In July 2004, Rachelle released her self-titled debut album with the singles "Love Of My Life" and a remake of "Don't Cry Out Loud". It also includes her own cover version of Selena's "Dreaming of You". She was then part of the Night Of The Champions U.S. Tour opposite Sarah Geronimo and Erik Santos. She then released a duet with Christian Bautista entitled "You And Me (We Wanted It All)". She is also a talent of VIVA Entertainment Group and is part of ABS-CBN, The Kapamilya Network'. She was involved in variety shows such as ASAP and ASAP Fanatic.During November 2004, Rachelle represented the Philippines in the Shanghai Music Festival where she was a silver medalist for her rendition of a Vehnee Saturno-penned song, "From The Start," followed by an astonishing breakthrough as she took an award for the Best Own Country Song for her version of the song, "Isang Lahi."In 2005, she was named the Best Promising Female Singer by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation, a prestigious award giving body recognizing the year's best. On April 29, 2005, she earned top-billing on her very first major solo concert hailed as Rachelle Ann Go, The Ultimate Champion. Rachelle delivered an exceptional performance and the concert has received massive accolades and rave reviews. It was Rachelle's breakaway feat from just being part of the Champions Circle. In here she instituted her mark as a solo recording and performing artist. One of the most notable points of the show was Rachelle's take on Regine Velasquez's R2K Concert airborne act, where she was suspended in mid-air as she opened her show. Later that summer Rachelle reunited with her fellow champions for what was to be their last ensemble concert performance to date. The show entitled Pinoy Idols: Return Of The Champions is a series of shows in the United States. The two-month tour featured Rachelle with contemporaries Sarah Geronimo, Christian Bautista, Mark Bautista, Frenchie Dy and other winners of reality singing competitions. On November 2005, Rachelle released her sophomore album I Care under VIVA Records. At the same time, she hosted the second season of the reality show Search For The Star In A million alongside her fellow champs Erik Santos, Sheryn Regis, and Mark Bautista. The album reached Gold status selling 15,000 copies nationwide. She recently released her third album entitled "Obsession" with her label, VIVA Records. Rachelle is also set to perform in a Valentine’s show with real-life boyfriend and singer, Christian Bautista in February 2007 at the Aliw Theater entitled You & Me.Personal life and controversiesRachelle created a big buzz when she underwent plastic surgery for her I Care album. Rachelle's win has thrusted her into the life of a public persona almost instantly. Fame has somewhat kept her from leading a private life. Rachelle had her shares of controversies and rumors like many other artists. She has been strongly chastised by critics for her inability to make a name for herself. Her frequent mimicry of artists like Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera and Regine Velasquez in her singing style was prevalent early in her start as a singing champion. She was panned as another product of the cliché pop-idol machinery and who would ultimately dissolve from the industry. But Rachelle and her management were on the verge of building up an invincible career for her. She was placed on regular stints on TV shows as host, singer, and actress, joined fellow champions for concerts and tours in the Philippines and abroad and finally, establish her mark as a solo artist via her albums and concerts. This strategy in due course has worked very well for Rachelle. In no time, she was a household name and a recognizable artist among fans and critics alike. Her sometimes sly and provocative image separates her from the stereotype teeny-bopper pop star. It was very evident that Rachelle was a diva on the rise both in style and voice. Rachelle has also been pitted against Sarah Geronimo, who during her start has already achieved phenomenal success in singing, movies, television and commercial endorsements. She had a tough act to follow, yet she managed to carve a totally different, yet all-the-while equally successful path as Geronimo did, proof that Rachelle had broken away from the shadows of her predecessor. Both singers remained good friends and have created a lasting friendship. Her personal life was also a feast for many writers and press people. Rachelle was linked to several male celebrities of her generation and was rumored to be sharing close relationships with them. But she denied any truth of going out with artists like Mark Bautista, Erik Santos Jed Madela, Luis Manzano, and John Prats. But Rachelle has publicly admitted that she shares a very close relationship to fellow singer and balladeer Christian Bautista whom she constantly and exclusively dates. Even though both singers have denied any truth to the gossip that both of them are already committed to each other, they stated that were on the path of getting to know one another. Finally, after courting her for about 2 years, Christian and Rachelle appeared on The Buzz to clear the issues between them, and admitted that they are officially a couple as boyfriend and girlfriend. She also finally stated, on national television (also worldwide via TFC), "I love you" to Christian. Christian is Rachelle Ann's first boyfriend.Rachelle Ann Go has also admitted in a noon-time showbiz show The Buzz that she underwent rhinoplasty to enhance her image for her second album, "I Care"...Singles

JENNIFER lopez life

Jennifer Lopez's first serious screen role in Gregory Nava's 1995 Latino melodrama My Family followed years of training in television movies and series. Like Rosie Perez, Lopez began her career as a Fly Girl -- a dancer on the sketch comedy series, In Living Color -- and appeared in music videos by Puff Daddy and Janet Jackson. Her big break came in 1997 when she appeared in the title role of Nava's Selena, the story of the successful Tejano singer who was tragically murdered in 1995. Lopez was at first cast as a femme fatale -- due in no small part to her classic Latina beauty (she was born in the Bronx to parents of Puerto Rican descent) -- and worked almost exclusively with acclaimed directors: Francis Ford Coppola (Jack, 1996), Oliver Stone (U-Turn, 1997), and Bob Rafelson (Blood and Wine, 1996). In 1998, she had one of her most acclaimed roles, starring opposite George Clooney in Out of Sight, Steven Soderbergh's adaptation the Elmore Leonard novel. Cast as a deputy federal marshal who falls for a charming criminal (Clooney), Lopez won raves for her tough, sexy performance, and in the process, she became the highest paid Latina actress in Hollywood history. That same year, she earned an introduction to a new generation of fans by lending her voice to the popular Antz (1998). The lavish but much more adult-oriented thriller The Cell (2000) followed shortly thereafter, bringing Lopez one of her first number-one openings. In an attempt to curry favor from the rom-com crowd, Lopez lightened things up a bit opposite Matthew McConaughey in 2001's romantic comedy The Wedding Planner. Though Lopez was consistently smooth in her frequent transitions from actress to songstress, her next role in the supernatural romance Angel Eyes (2001) failed to click with audiences and critics alike, and her role in the cathartic revenge thriller Enough (2002) likewise disappeared from theaters shortly after its release. Though Maid in Manhattan (2002) was ultimately relegated to a similar fate as her last few films, few could anticipate the outright hostility with which her 2003 comedy Gigli would be greeted. In the movie, Lopez was cast as a female gangster assigned to keep an eye on a kidnapper (played by then-real-life-boyfriend Ben Affleck) who is holding a psychologically challenged young boy hostage. The harsh public backlash against the film was likely due (at least in part) to over-saturated media coverage of the duo's tumultuous off-screen relationship. Though the film's failure wasn't exactly what one would call a career-ender for either star, their shoddy onscreen dynamic reportedly led director Kevin Smith to excise most of Lopez' role in the Affleck-starrer Jersey Girl. Finally, in 2005, it appeared the actress' string of bad box-office luck had possibly reached its end. Teaming up with Jane Fonda for the latter thespian's first feature in over a decade, Lopez scored a modest hit with the comedy Monster In-Law. The Lasse Hallstrom-helmed drama An Unfinished Life followed later the same year with Lopez opposite heavy-hitters Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman. In 2006, Lopez tried her hand at producing with Bordertown, a thriller she also starred in opposite Antonio Banderas. In addition to her screen work, Lopez has also enjoyed a successful singing career on the dance-pop circuit. JAMIE LYN spears life

Jamie-Lynn Spears, the younger sister of pop singer Britney Spears, was born on April 4, 1991, in McComb, Mississippi, and grew up in Kentwood, Louisiana. For two years, she was a cast member of the comedy-variety show "All That" and had a starring role on the Nickelodeon series "Zoey 101." Jamie-Lynn is the sister-in-law of the "multi-talented" Kevin Federline. The younger sister (by ten years) of pop diva and glitterati icon Britney Spears -- to whom she bears more than a passing resemblance -- Jamie Lynn Spears first entered the national spotlight by joining her famous sibling on a Pepsi commercial and appearing in Britney Spears: Live from Las Vegas and Britney's movie Crossroads (2002). Jamie Lynn struck out on her own at age ten by trying out for the Nickelodeon channel's sketch comedy series All That; one particular characterization from that audition -- that of a geriatric female bodyguard, reportedly inspired by her own grandmother -- prompted series executive producer Dan Schneider to offer the ingenue membership in the program's regular ensemble. Spears then headlined her own Nickelodeon sitcom, Zoey 101, which premiered in 2005. The program recounted the adventures of Zoey Brooks, a young woman at an outrageously wealthy and exclusive prep school whose amenities included a sushi bar and a movie theater; the institution in question had only recently gone coed, alternately thrilling and vexing its male pupils. Spears came of age and attended high school in Mississippi. In late 2007, she made headlines when it was revealed that she was pregnant with her first child at the young age of 16. LINDSAY lohan life

Child actress Lindsay Lohan was already an experienced performer when she made her feature debut in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. Born in New York City, Lohan began modeling at age three. After appearing in numerous TV commercials, Lohan moved to series TV with a role on the soap operaAnother World from 1996 to 1997. Cast as The Parent Trap's scheming twin sisters after a six month search for just the right girl, Lohan succeeded in filling Hayley Mills' shoes, winning over audiences with her pert charm as both the Californian Hallie and the British-raised Annie. She subsequently starred in the Disney TV film Life-Size (2000). Subsequently cast in actress Bette Midler's short-lived sitcom Bette, Lohan took a turn as a teenage gossip columnist (Get a Clue[2002 classic, Freaky Friday (2003). Stepping into the shoes formerly filled by Jodie Foster, Lohan and co-star Jamie Lee Curtis brought a winning, new chemistry to the film that made it a sleeper summer hit. Lohan kicked off 2004 with her first big starring vehicle, the comedy Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Met with mixed reviews and modest box-office receipts, the film didn't cross over from the teen audience the way Friday did. Only a mere two months later, Lohan proved she could carry a film. The Tina Fey-penned Mean Girls debuted at number one, recouping its budget and then some in its first week of release. The spotlight on the then-16-year-old Lohan changed almost overnight, as she quickly became a tabloid fixture: speculation on her body, her nightclubbing, her string of high-profile boyfriends, her incarcerated father, and her feuds with a variety of other young female celebrities became inescapable. Perhaps predictably, 2004 also saw Lohan branch out into the world of pop music with the album Speak; the supposedly confessional -- and similarly undistinguished -- A Little More Personal followed in 2005. All of the hullabaloo seemed to have little effect on her work, as she starred in Herbie: Fully Loaded for Disney -- suffering a bout of "exhaustion" on set -- before graduating to more adult fare with Robert Altman's A Prairie Home Companion. Playing a morose poetess, the young actress ably held her own against Meryl Streep and Lily Tomlin when the film opened in 2006; around that time, her first shot at a "grown-up" romantic comedy, Just My Luck, opened to little notice from the public or critics. Undaunted, Lohan set to work on another grande-dame comedy, Georgia Rule, in which she played a wayward, risk-taking teenage girl who is hauled off to live with her stern grandmother (Jane Fonda) for the summer. Perhaps fittingly, Lohan's own tardy behavior on the Georgia Rule set prompted a very public memo from the film's backers, who claimed her late-night partying was endangering the shoot; a short stay in rehab followed in early 2007. For all the publicity generated by Lohan's wild-child routine, Georgia Rule tanked when it opened in May of that year, although many critics preferred Lohan's performance over those of her histrionic co-stars Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman. The actress' R-rated summer blitz continued with the thriller I Know Who Killed Me, just as her work in the widely panned Mark David Chapman biopic Chapter 27 made the festival rounds. This trifecta of flops was complemented by an increasingly erratic public image, as she found herself involved in two DUI arrests within two months' time that same summer. Both prompted stays in rehab, as well as mammoth media attention. Lucia Bozzola, All Movie Guide

CORBIN bleu life

The actor Corbin Bleu was born Feb. 21, 1989, in Brooklyn, NY. He started his career in commercials at the age two for products Life cereal, Bounty, Hasbro and Nabisco. Then in 1996 he moved to Los Angeles where he landed a recurring role on the television series "High Incident." Corbin's movie credits include small roles in "Soldier," "Mystery Men" and "Galaxy Quest." During the summer of 2005 he was cast as Chad in the runaway successful Disney Channel Original movie "High School Musical." He also starred as Johnny on the pilot episode of Disney's "Hannah Montana."While most 18-year-olds are only just starting to figure out what they want to do with the rest of their lives, Corbin Bleu is years ahead of them—16 years to be exact. Most people immediately link Corbin's name to High School Musical (and an awesome head of hair) but the young actor has already been around the Hollywood block more than once. The Brooklyn-born Corbin started his career when he was a toddler. While other kids his age were taking their first steps and learning their first words Corbin was already taking dance classes, starring in commercials, modeling and appearing in an off- Broadway play. When he was seven years old, his family packed up and moved to Los Angeles. Following in the footsteps of his father, actor David Reivers, Corbin racked up several TV gigs, including guest stints on ER, and his first recurring role on the short-lived ABC drama, High Incident. He also began training at the prestigious Debbie Allen Dance Academy. In his freshman year of high school, Corbin landed a starring role in the Fox feature film Catch that Kid. A year later he was cast in the Discovery Kids Television series Flight 29 Down. Then, in 2005, he won the role of a lifetime as Chad in Disney's phenomenon, High School Musical, which broke numerous records (7.7 million viewers tuned in to watch its debut!).Corbin had recorded a song for inclusion in an episode of the Flight 29 Down series. Although he had always sung and played piano, performing the song for the show was his first time in a real recording studio. Based on that track he was signed to Hollywood Records. This January, Corbin starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Jump In!, Disney's highest rated original movie ever bringing in 8.2 million viewers in its debut. He was asked to sing "Push It To The Limit", the lead track from the movie's soundtrack album." Push It quickly became #1 on Radio Disney and entered Billboard's Hot 100 chart at number #14.Despite his busy acting schedule, Corbin found time to record his first solo album last fall. The album, Another Side, is an "R&B pop album," he explains, and will "show another side of me, singing in many genres." He even co-wrote five of the songs—something he never imagined he could do. "I've always dabbled with songwriting on my piano, but I was never serious about it," he says. "I am just so excited to be doing this—this will be the first time people will hear just my voice!"And they will hear more of it! Corbin is currently recording for the much-anticipated High School Musical sequel. But he also has other plans as well: "I want to be on Broadway so bad," he says, with a positive and enthusiastic energy that is contagious. "And I want to direct eventually."Corbin, who was just nominated for an NAACP Image award, credits his fun-loving and easygoing attitude to his family, who always keep him grounded. "I've always learned from my parents and my three sisters. My parents and I are really tight and that's important," he says. "They still make me do chores and make sure I don't get a big head!"And just when you thought Corbin had exhausted all of his interests and many talents, he reveals that if he weren't performing, he'd like to be a doctor! "I wanted to go to med school," Corbin says. "I've always had an interest in science. Either way, even though acting is my first love, I am hoping to go to college at some point because it's important. Maybe I'll study psychology since all of my friends call me up for advice! I'm that guy," he laughs, but not like he minds at all.But from the looks of things, he wont' have to have a career Plan B for a very long time.Unfazed by the incredible pace of events in the past year Corbin says. ""I've been working so hard for such a long time that now I'm trying to take this all in and just try to remember every moment. I just love what I do and I'm not in it for the fame. I just want to do my thing and send a positive message out there, especially to kids."As the son of ever-present television star David Reivers (Charmed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), African-American actor Corbin Bleu (born Corbin Bleu Reivers) was ushered into the spotlight by his parents at a remarkably early age. Before his third birthday, Bleu's face had adorned television commercials for such consumer brands as Nabisco, Life Cereal, and Bounty paper towels; by the age of four, he had secured representation with the prestigious Ford Modeling Agency in Manhattan, and promoted American chains such as Toys 'R' Us and Macy's, via inclusion in their print ads. As a youngster, Bleu also happened upon a deep-seated love of dancing -- a passion that carried him through his adolescent years. Bleu moved with his family to the City of Angels in 1996, and thus transposed his acting ambitions to Hollywood. After bit parts in such movies as Mystery Men and Galaxy Quest (both 1999) and such series as Malcolm & Eddie and ER, Bleu landed his first starring role in a feature: that of Austin, the Afroed accomplice of pint-sized bank robber Maddy (Kristen Stewart), in Bart Freundlich's family-oriented action comedy Catch That Kid (2003). Bleu gained his broadest exposure, however (and truly found his niche), via the Disney Channel pay-cable service, with several original telemovie musicals that enabled the rising young star to exhibit his singing and dancing skills onscreen -- and then some. These included High School Musical (2006) and Jump In! (2007). The former attained such popularity among young people that it spawned two successful sequels: the 2007 High School Musical 2 and the 2008 Haunted High School Musical. In each of those successive installments, Bleu reprises his role as basketball player Chad -- a teammate of lead character Troy Bolton (Zac Efron). Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide
